EPIC! 90's Weekend!
On August 26th and 27th, Mad Bob's Saloon saw a slew of local musicians take the stage as some of the biggest bands from the 90's! Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and others were represented. We were so lucky to be part of this and performed a huge 14-song set of Stone Temple Pilots tunes! You can see videos of that set here: http://www.youtube.com/soundtracktomonday
Not only did the members of Soundtrack to Monday perform as STP, but other members also performed with many of the other bands, sharing their skills with other talented locals to help but on this amazing night. You can catch Bobby performing with a Foo Fighters tribute here: http://www.youtube.com/bobbywhitworth These theme nights are done every couple of months and usually involve a specific decade. There is one for the 70's coming up in September and then another 80's hairband debacle on Halloween weekend!! For Halloween, don't miss Bobby and Byron playing as Skid Row! Costumes, wigs, and all! STM Stone Temple Pilots
Friday, August 26th, we are performing songs from Stone Temple Pilots under the name "Meatplow"! That night is part of the EPIC! 90's show that is gonna be filled with tributes to other bands like Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and more! This is gonna be sick!
We will be pulling out tunes like "Plush", "Sour Girl", "Unglued", "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart", and much more. We love this band so we are so looking forward to playing their music! The show will be at Mad Bob's Saloon in Manchester, NH. 342 Lincoln St. 21+ get your butts down there! STM Prime Cutz
Over here at Sountrack to Monday HQ we are conducting an interesting little experiment with a stupid name. We are calling it "Prime Cutz" but only because it makes us laugh everytime we say it. Also, it's easy to swap in dirty words to make it even funnier :) But the main reason we are doing this is to share our influences/likes/etc. with each other and you guys! This are not necessarily songs we'll ever be playing, but they are tunes that have shaped each of us in some way.
We hope you enjoy them! We played with 5 other great bands and had a blast doing it! The crowd was really good for a Sunday night, but what was so wonder is how playing made us feel. Even though Byron was crashing hard on the flu and Dan wasn't playing his own drum kit, we really nailed the songs and it felt amazing! Van Halen and Ratt!Halloween was amazing! We performed our (2) sets as Black Eddie, a Van Halen tribute band and Byron and Bobby had a blast performing with friends in Outta D'Cellar, a Ratt tribute band. Thanks to all who came out to see and support us, we love you very much! Also, thanks so much to the Grog and Mad Bob's Saloon for giving us the stage area to flex our 80's muscles like we did! |
